Glenpool City Council Endorses TCC Bond and Millage Election During Special Meeting Thursday

The Glenpool City Council voted unanimously Thursday evening to endorse the Tulsa Community College capital bond and millage election set for Tuesday. The endorsement came in a special meeting called to vote on the TCC election endorsement and included an affirmative vote from City Councilor Tim Fox who was graduated last Friday during commencement at TCC along with nearly 900 other graduates. TCC Millage Proposal Could Impact Jones-Riverside

The proposed Tulsa Community College expansion program before voters on May 13 could significantly impact the pilot and aviation program at Jones-Riverside at Jenks.

One of the aspects of the expansion program is bringing a top-notch air traffic controllers program on line. Some of the money in the proposed millage hike would allow TCC to obtain the simulation equipment required for FAA certification and would put the student on the fast track to complete work at the Air Traffic Controller Academy.
